Nick's back was hurting all during our Paris visit.
The vineyard in Montmartre only produces a few bottles of wine each year, which are auctioned off.

We ate Chinese food on the banks of the Seine.
The crowd gathered for impromptu samba music by the river. A sure way of keeping fit, by the looks of it.
The beach huts were removed that day. We saw them earlier in July.
A fantastic restaurant in the Maris area, the Gai Moulin. We ate there twice, sampling baked eggs with fois gras and kangaroo.
The next day, we decided to take a boat trip.
Our first stop was the gardens.
We enjoyed the labyrinth, as we had been listening to Larry's Party on tape during our car journey.
We couldn't decide this man's age.
But this tree was planted in the 1700s.
Nick was taking orders.
This photographer was on our boat.
Was he snapping the sunbathers on the "gay beach"?

Perhaps my favourite moment of the whole trip was revisiting our riverside spot on the Ile St Louis. Bliss.
