Actor, model, author, Rupert
Everett has long been a favourite of ours, and someone we've longed to meet in
person. As one of Hollywood's only openly gay actors, Rupert is an excellent
role model to have. We got our chance to meet him in October, 2006, when he
appeared at the Cheltenham Literary Festival, promoting his autobiography,
Red
Carpets and Other Banana Skins. Below are photos of our exciting day.

Rupert often looks "Botoxed" in publicity photos, but he looked naturally handsome in person. |
Rupert signed two copies of his book for us and also a cute, shirtless photo for our wall (see copy below). |
||
He looks like he's about to say the "F-word". |
Outside the Festival with our autogrphed copies |

Rupert looked quite boyish to us, though he often sounds insecure about his age. Recently he said that if he were on fire in a gay club, people would only stop to light their cigarettes off him. |
There's that F-word again |
||
Not a great photo, but the only one of Nick and Rupert |
I think he looks like Kevin Kline. |
||
In his talk, he was funny, charming, well-spoken, honest, and cute. |
We share the same birthday, May 29th. |

Some of Rupert Everett's famous films: | |||
A Midsummer Night's Dream |
An Ideal Husband |
The Importance of Being Earnest |
His biggest hit: My Best Friend's Wedding |
A tight T-shirt is not the only reason for liking Rupert... |
...nor is total nudity. |
Our signed photo |
I found this photo on the Internet. Was this a production of Hamlet? |
The wire mesh centaur outside Cheltenham's race course. |
A topiary wooly mammoth at the festival |
Our trip also coincided with a French market in the town. |
